# Summary

This is a mount designed to fit underneath the deck of my electric longboard (Ionboard X) to hold a single cell USB L-ion battery. You can use this battery for a variety of different reasons including an emergency phone charger or to power extras on your board. Once I get my battery in the mail, I will post pictures of the completed build.

The purpose of my battery is to power a RGB LED light strip that I have attached to the bottom of my board and the strip is spec.ed to run off of USB power. I plan on printing this in black ABS, however I do not have access to my 3D printer rn, however I will in a week or two and I can update this with pictures after I print it.

The Light strip, which I have attached to my board that the battery is supposed to power is very inexpensive and I purchased it here:

The USB battery I have ordered, is on the way and should arrive mid to late May, is extremely inexpensive. I went off of the online dimensions of these batteries to make this mount, while it should fit them well, I will test it out and adjust the mount if these dimensions are off. The battery can be found here:

This mount is supposed to mount on the interior side (shorter side, 2 screws) of either the front or rear trucks of your longboard, and is very low profile. With the board upside-down, mounting order is as follows to fit this piece:
-1/4 or 1/2 inch rubber riser pad
-Longboard or skateboard truck
-Optional: thin rubber washer (will reduce mount vibration)
-3D Printed mount
-Optional: thin rubber washer (will reduce mount vibration)
-Optional: Metal washer (separate rubber from nut)
-Nut

** I am not sure yet, but you may need to get longer versions of your truck screws to fit everything, which is not really a big deal. **

# How I Designed This

I used an existing riser pad design in Thingiverse, solely for the screw hole distance. I trimmed away majority of the file and kept what I needed, I then designed the rest of the mount to fit the USB battery in Tinkercad.
