The Borealis is a federation corvette used for tasks where more than a shuttle is necessary. The Borealis class was primarily designed as a replacement for the anchient warp delta and Intrepid type. the reconfigurable geometry of the deflector/nacelles allows the much more durable saucer to be the only profile when facing an enemy head on.
