Revamp of the old SketchUp model by Gacek. Fixed many issues with the island and hangar deck sides.
The Essex class aircraft carriers were the largest class of fleet carriers built by any nation to date. This model represents how many of them looked in the 1960s and 1970s, after their angled-deck modernizations (SCB-125). Ship name and both flight deck and island ship numbers have been removed so this can better represent any ship in the class.
