The BMW M8 GTE is a racing car developed by BMW to race in the Automobile Club de l’Ouest LM GTE and International Motor Sports Association GTLM categories. It was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 12, 2017. The entry is ensured by Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in IMSA and by Team MTEK (en) in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The M8 GTE took its first victory during the GT Challenge round in August 2018 at Virginia International Raceway.
