intention of creating my first Ukranian ship in 3 years. The design was to be a mix between a viking river cruise ship, and a conventional passenger ship, with windows below the deck to be shapped like an early 1900’s warship casemate mount. Cherkasy is named after the Ukranian city of Cherkasy which was founded in the 14th century as a fortified city under Lithuanian rule. The city served as a frontier outpost against Tatar raids, and its population consisted mainly of Ukrainian Cossacks. The city quite a few landmarks and interesting places to visit for a tourist. Currently the city has been spared from the worst of the war, and remains mostly intact as of writing.
