Manila Bay is the first major PHN warship. They had a considerably good budget back then, so there was no expense spared on this cruiser when it was made, as seen with its excessive torpedo armament. This was the only ship of its class, as there were also other cruisers constructed next to it that focused more on guns [but still had torpedo armament] and those fell into favor despite their more old school design. Back to Manila Bay, this model is of her most recent refit.
