In 2019, a track-only version of the Ford GT was introduced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Called the Ford GT Mk II, it has a number of features that make it a more capable track car. The 3.5-liter Ecoboost has been sharpened, with output rated at 700 horsepower. Power moves to the wheels through a Getrag eight-speed dual clutch transmission and a limited-slip rear end. New outboard-mounted intercoolers are fed by a roof-mounted air intake.
