Queensland Railways A10 Neilson class locomotive (No.6) originally intended for use in Transport Fever 2. Model constructed bwtween 22 Feburary – 2 May 2023
Trivia: The A10 No.6 was an 0-4-2 locomotive built by Neilson and Co of Glasgo, Scotland in 1865 and delivered to Queensland Railways in 1866. It was later sold to Gibson & Howes Ltd. and used to haul sugar cane on a private branch line. No.6 would transport the cane to Watawa Siding where it was then collected by a Queensland Railways’ locomotive and forwarded to Bingera Siding, where it was transferred to another Bingera mill locomotive to be processed.
In 1991, No.6 would be restored to working order by volunteers of the Australian Railway Historical Society (ARHS). The locomotive now upholds the claim as Australia’s oldest operational steam locomotive.
