A simple model for a simple and silly concept/idea for a improvised/expedient type of “modular” and a low-cost hand grenade that I named Box MK1 as the main body of the grenade is made out of square tubing and is rectangular/boxy in shape hence the name. This rectangular shape is a blessing and a curse as the shape makes the grenade harder to hold and makes any potential fragmentation pattern not as even or reliable on the other hand the shape allows a relatively small grenade to hold a greater amount of explosive compound than a rounder one of similar size making this kind of a grenade potentially a decent assault or concussion grenade. A rounder shape would be better in nearly every way but if there was an abundance of square tubing and a scarcity of rounder ones then this sort of grenade might be useful plus I simply think that a square/rectangular grenades look funky.
