A tribute to ancient architecture, always present and elegant..
From the top of their 30cm, both decorative, educational and useful as a book divider, a set of three Greek columns of the great classical orders: doric, ionic and corinthian.
The Doric column is the oldest and most unadorned. With 20 flutes, the drums of oblique form and without base, rest directly on the support. Its capital is a transformation of cylindrical section into square.
The Ionic column shows a more evolved base and a capital comprising spirals typical of this order overhanging a frieze .
The Corinthian column is characterized above all by its capital where two rows of arcanthus leaves appear under spirals, a prickly plant with multiple legends (Nymph kidnapped by Apollo …)
3D printing settings
The columns consist of a base, superimposed drums and capital typical of their time.
30 cm high, their base rests on a square base of 6.2 cm side. The height can be adapted by changing the number of drums.
The architrave, part above the capital, allows to adjust the height of the column if necessary. This object is easy to make since it consists of a square of 64 mm side, extruded to the desired height, with to center it on the capital, a cylinder to be added: diameter 38 mm and height 5 mm.
The Corinthian capital is the largest piece to be printed, it is presented upside down to facilitate printing. It is recommended to use the support function for capitals.
The drums are hollow to save raw material.
To accentuate the aesthetic separation of the drums, the drums have a 0.4 mm top wedge.
sizes for height adjustment:
Doric
base = 20 mm
capital = 60.2 mm
drum = 31.4 mm , there are 7 different ones (conical column), you can not put the 01, 02 or 03 to reduce the size as much.
Ionic
Base = 50.8 mm
Capital = 67.2 mm
Drum =36.4 , all equal to the number of 5.
Corinthian
Base = 48 mm
Capital = 90 mm
Drum = 32.4 in number of 5 identical
