Use this adapter to fit a 2.5 inch hard disk in a 3.5 inch mount. The design is topology optimized in order to reduce material use and print time (and also because it looks neat)
The holes on the sides were designed such that the 3.5 inch bracket of a HP workstation computer snaps onto them. I do not know if a typical bracket using screws would fit (as the screws may not fit the holes). Feedback on this is appreciated.
How to print
Print flat side down with a 0.3 mm layer height. Supports are required, the use of a brim recommended. Tested material is ABS. There is likely no need to print the part solid — with ABS, a 30 % infill gave a strong enough part.
Scaling may be needed if you print onto a heated bed (as the part will likely shrink when cooling down).
