The 45mm lens I created last year:
Although the pictures are far better than the ones from the 45mm lens, it would still not be a lens suitable for everyday usage. The lens is quite bulky, the lack of autofocus and the very dark aperture really aren’t optimal. Nevertheless, it was definitely a worthy experience to build something like this from scratch. It taught me a lot about the inner workings of cameras and lenses and their properties as well as challenges.
