Use-case
My award winning geared clamp hook was purely for screwing it to a wall. That did leave users out, that could not drill a hole in their intend surface (e.g. the door of a fridge). This problem should now be solved with this add-on.
Printing
This publication consists of two parts only: The plate that can be glued to a wall or cabinet/fridge door and the adapted gear part which fits right into the glue plate.
Print both parts in the uploaded orientation. The gear part should be printed with 0.15mm of layer height or less. At least for the gear part you should use 3 (or better 4) perimeters, to make the gear strong.
All other parts of the hook can be used “as-is” from the original publication, that can be found here: Self releasing geared clamp hook for towels
Assembly
All you need in addition are two screws M3x6, which can be driven directly into the glue plate if it is made from PETG (might work with PLA as well, but that is not tested).
