If you don’t trust the alumini(m)um can itself to hold up in harsh environments like your backpack, this is the print for you! Or you need a pencil case you can close, the 500ml can for the can might fit you, too. I use this for my examens at the university.
I had this problem a few times now, a leak in a full aluminium can, inside my backpack. Not partikular nice considering my laptop was in there, too. Therefore, I thought how I could solve this issue and protect my stuff from damage …or may be the can itself… . I came up with a can for the can.
Here you can find different models that fit common aluminium can sizes.
For now:
250ml Cans like those from RedBull
500ml Cans like those from MonsterEnergy, Beer and Äbbelwoi
I provided gcode for the models with a layer Hight of .15mm however, I recommend an even finer layer Hight for smooth threads.
As I don’t have any experience with ABS or ASA and its acetone vapor smoothing process I am curios if someone want to try this and give some feedback. Also, I have not tried the chamfered version, but this should need a really fine layer Hight, too.
