Credit card sized Folding Smartphone / Tablet Stand

Smartphone stand, folding into a 4mm thick credit card. Can also hold tablets in both landscape and portrait (tested up to 10 inch models). Can support devices at 4 different angles.

Locks at four spots when closed, and stable under weight. Requires a relatively flat surface to stand on. Might slip when using the device, depending on the friction between surface and print material.

Designed to be printed in place, with no support required. Hinges and locks need to be carefully opened at first, in case of slight fusing. A raft might be required for adhesion and to negate elephant’s foot.

Four models are available, with two different gap tolerances (0.3 and 0.4 mm) and two vanity designs (a face and a heart :P).

In my testing, 0.3 mm is good for PETG and 0.4 mm is good for PLA, but I have just one printer to test on. Feedback is appreciated, I can upload models with lower tolerances if requested!

Rafts:

Yes

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

50% octet

Filament: Real Filament PETG Natural / Clear

Notes:

Raft not required, can help if you have adhesion / elephant’s foot problems.
Printing slow (30-50 mm/s) and with jerk (10mm/s) and acceleration (1000 mm/s^2) control also help negate fusing.

Post-Printing

Take care when opening first time, don’t apply too much force.

Open the two corner locks first, then the middle, and finally, while unfolding, the top one. If there is slight fusing, you can slip a fine blade between the bars, and hold the limiting tabs of the hinges while opening them the first time, to avoid twisting them off.
