A mini tape gun for the Christmas elf in all of us. Print one of these and get to wrapping presents.
This is a 3d printable version of a mini tape gun I had laying around. It holds the standard tape dispenser rolls. You know, the little 3/4″ rolls that you use to wrap presents with at Christmas time.
It prints in 4 parts with support and the little side piece that holds the roller on it simply pressed into place as the layer ridges seem to hold it in. But if that doesn’t hold, a bit of super glue will fix it right up.
Note: The screw threads are left handed because of the tape spool rotation direction.
Update 12/29/2015:
I’ve made some of the requested changes and uploaded the additional files.
Print Settings
Printer:
DaVinci 1.0
Rafts:
Doesn’t Matter
Supports:
Yes
Resolution:
0.2mm
Infill:
50%
Notes:
there are a couple of areas that I decided to leave symmetric about the tape roll and that causes them to need support. Other than that the main part lays flat on the printer bed.
Post-Printing
The one that I printed is able to cut tape with no post processing but I made the top face of the cutter flat so that you can file it down to sharpen it up if needed.
