PS4 DualShock Joystick HOTAS / HOSAS

PS4 DualShock Joystick HOTAS / HOSAS

A snap-on HOTAS adapter for your PlayStation DualShock controller.

All pieces print with no supports. I printed them at 0.2 mm, 3 perimeters, in PLA.

To check your tolerances, you can print the small test pieces first. The snap-together ball-and-socket joints are now in fact LEGO compatible!

Snap the pieces together, then insert your controller. You can use a drop of glue with the baseplate pieces. Add a bit of vaseline or other grease in the joints for a smoother feel. For the throttle, add a piece of tape in the hinge surface to add friction. If the stick grip and throttle knob are loose on their shafts, add some tape around the shaft, or glue them in place.

If you orient the pieces like in the screenshot, then no supports are needed. One half of the design fits on a standard 200×200 build plate. Perhaps you could just squeeze in both halves at once. One half takes 9 hours and uses 110 grams of filament.

Print the same pieces mirrored for the left hand side. You can choose between a throttle knob and a second joystick.

If you want to use the trigger version, you need to feed a string through the stick grip.
