A Roubo book stand is usually made from a single board of wood, using a saw, a chisel, a drill, a fretsaw and careful marking out of the necessary guide lines. It is quite fascinating to see two articulating interlocking pieces cut out of just a single block.
In this thing, I’ve designed a 3d print version and the smaller size should qualify it as a phone, rather than a book, stand. It prints in one piece and you can pry it open (carefully so you don’t cut your other hand) with the spatula you use to separate your prints from the bed.
In Malaysia, we frequently see this design in folding coconut scrapers made from wood and a scraping blade at one end.
