Wind the cable on your fingers (3 of 4, depending on the size of your hand) and tuck it into the holder. That’s it! No ends sticking out, nothing gets entangled when you put it in a drawer.
Need a cable? Pick a small box for a short cable, a big box for a big cable. That’s it! And use different colors for different cable types (eg USB-C, lightning etc).
The can be slided into eachother for convenience.
