This is a small parts container for use in ultra sonic cleaners. I tested a friction fit lid design but the PLA plastic goes soft due to the heat in the ultrasonic cleaner and fails to remain closed. So now I have designed a container with a locking hinged lid that you can just flick open with your thumb. Now tried and very well tested in 65 deg C cleaning fluid. The hinge pin is 1/16th or 1.6mm braising rod. Clear the holes out with a 1/16th drill bit before pushing the hinge pin through. Super glue the hinge pin in place with a dab on both sides and your done. Strangely satisfying flicking the lid with your thumb over and over again. Mmmmm!
