I needed a stand for my laptop that was repositionable. So I designed one. ๐
I would love to see the color combinations you come up with.
I designed it from scratch with 3d printing in mind. 4 easy to print print parts with very easy assembly.
I’m really happy with the result. It could use some tweaking but it looks great, does what it says on the tin and is really strong.
You will need to print 2 stands per laptop. Multiple sizes available. One for 17″ laptops and one for 15″ laptops.
If you are low on desk space you may want to choose to combine some parts. It is possible to place the 17″ laptop holder onto the 15″ base. The 17″ base is 25cm long, the 15″ base is 17 cm long.
This is my first multipart design.
The weight of one 17″ assembly is 100g

Print and assemble
The assembly is pretty straight forward. To make sure the hinge pin stays in position I glued it with superglue.
The thickest part of the support clicks into the top part. The narrow part is used for postitioning.
