Sunglasses Car Clip

Sunglasses Car Clip

I really enjoyed moacmoa design, first I printed it in PLA but it quickly deformed, then I moved to PETG with better results. But even when printing in PETG at 100%, with time it deformed as well.
I increased the clip width to try to achieve even better results, to have a sturdier piece that doesn’t deform easily.
The pieces have a gap of 6mm for the glasses, keep this in mind for glasses with slim frame arms.
↳ Heat deflection that can happen with time (PETG for both colours)
↳ 20mm version (left, black, original), 25mm version (right, red)

Printing

I don’t recommend printing this in PLA, please use PETG or other material with high heat deflection temperature.
For this piece, I use 100% infill in order to have minimum part deflection due to temperature.
I recommend using 3 perimeters to cut on printing time.
Since the first couple of layers have a steep angle it creates a bit of an overhang, a bit of support (support on the build plate only) is advised, it will only add 1 minute to the build time and the part will come out perfect.
