A set of speakers (desktop) I designed using the teardrop back ported construction. They were designed for the Dayton Audio PS95-8 3-1/2″ Point Source Full Range Driver 8 Ohm and tuned accordingly.
The speakers print in two parts which twist lock together. For the most part they print without support though you will need it for the main body which prints driver end down. Your printer will need to be fairly well tuned in order for the twist lock to work straight off the bed – otherwise a little sanding will be needed. The tolerances are deliberately low because the lock needs to be tight.
They have holes for the pegs towards the back of the speaker and I personally placed accoustifill (essentially stuffing) inside mine (allowing of course for airflow out the port) to give a little more depth and richness.
I am very happy with the final sound after driver break in.

Mine were printed in Hatchbox woodfil and then given 6 coats of satin lacquer after sanding ALMOST smooth. I wanted some print lines left. You do them how you like. I do feel however the softer wood filament was of a benefit to the sound.
