It probably won’t get easier than this: in terms of material usage, building effort and general usability this bedside phone holder shows a rather radical design. Made from a small piece of plywood it super easy to make on a small cnc-machine. It can be taken apart without tools, can be stored flat and even works for small tablet computers.
This build was done on a desktop cnc-machine by Stepcraft from 6 mm beech plywood using a spiral-toothed 1.2 mm flute.
Keep in mind that the stl-file is for viewing purpose only. It will not work if you print this on a fdm-printer.
Post-Printing
Set your CAM to cutout the two rectangles, then create a pocket around 1.5 mm mm deep and proceed to create parts (cutting on the outside) from the inner to the outer part.
