Whisky/Victorian Dice

Whisky/Victorian Dice

Mocked up some dice with custom font to be big and readable for my wife for this holiday season. The dice are slightly larger scale (around 20mm tall as opposed to 15-16) to be more legible across the table and give them a little more heft. Numbers are very shallow (.4 mm) to throw off the weight less which would be great for a resin printer but I was able to get OK results off of a slow printing FDM printer. Sanded with 400 and 800 grit to get rid of ridges, then waxed with mop and glo floor cleaner. By far not professional quality, but great dice for stuff just around the house.

Notes:
Atomic sunset silk filament and some cheap Chinese flat black filament off amazon for the percentile. took about 8 hours total for the 7 dice. Probably could have printed cleaner if I’d swapped to a .02 nozzle, but I didn’t want to spend 24 hours on printing these. Guess I’m saving for a resin printer to make real dice with these files.
