I’ve been wanting one of these extremely rare German made mid-century mantle clocks but they are really difficult to find and when you do find them they go for $1,000 – $2,500. So I decided to try and 3D print a replica. While not perfect, I like how it turned out.
Printed on p1p. For fake wood appearance I did some sanding, then automotive body filler/primer. Then light brown colored spray paint with dark wood stain brushed on for the final coat.
For the face of the clock, use ironing to make for a smoother finish. For the clock body, use adaptive layer hight for best results.
I used a cheap clock movement from Hobby Lobby as the clock internals.
