Inspired by the work’s in Brian Sum’s AFTRMRKT, I just wanted to design an articulatable robotic hand to help grow my CAD skills. Not in love with the final result – but I learned alot.
Feel free to use however you like. I printed the soft finger/palm pads in a translucent TPU, and the rest in cheap PLA. It uses ~26x 10mm m3 screws and ~4 6mm m3 screws. You could certainly design it to use less, or perhaps none – but part of the design goal here was a complex, hardware-filled texture.
Nails are interchangable, which is fun, and the articulation includes flexing each finger, splaying the knuckles, an opposable thumb, and a spinner-fidget wrist.
Uses the TPU/PLA barbell joints from my poseable action figure – see more info there.
