Tuggy 3 3d model

This tugboat is designed to be ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ณ to the infamous #3DBenchy, while sharing absolutely zero geometry, planes, or critical dimensions.

Due to a change in ownership of the Benchy asset, the new owners are removing all the wild, wonderful and wacky remixes of the original on many platforms, especially Printables. This is not due to copyright, but to original files being uploaded under the Creative Commons – Attribution – No Derivatives license. The Benchy has become an iconic staple of the 3D printing community. I wanted to create something to fill the gap for those crazy creators who wanted to design and print a little boat version of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, or any other bizarre mashup that has become such a fun element of this community.

The Tuggy is ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ณ, but not a direct copy or modified file. Due to the nature of Patent, Trademark and Copyright Laws, it is highly unlikely that the Benchy is fit to file for any such protective embellishment. Ergo, the Tuggy is unlikely to become a victim of legal persecution in the future- and with it’s open-source nature, neither will all of your crazy remixes.

I hope you enjoy it. I cannot wait to see what you do with this little boat!

With typical default FDM slicer settings, a Tuggy takes ~9-10 Grams of filament, and should print in well under two hours.
