The TBD Devastator is a U.S. Navy torpedo bomber built by Douglas. The TBD was the first all-steel low-wing aircraft of all-metal construction to enter service in the Navy. It ushered in a new era of aviation employment in the U.S. Navy when it entered service with the fleet in November 1937. (Sources Wikipedia)
