This phone stand has been tested with the following phones:
Samsung Galaxy S8+;
iPhone XR;
iPhone 7 Plus; and
iPhone 6.
The speaker holes are roughly aligned to all these phones and wide and deep enough to accommodate their respective charging cables and headphones cables. The shelf is able to accommodate some phones in their cases and the angle was found to keep the balance well while allowing the face of an adult of average height to be mostly centred in height on the screen when the stand is on a work table.
