Xbox Controller & Headphone Holder

Xbox Controller & Headphone Holder

I got sick of my wired controller and sometimes wireless headphones cluttering up my desk so I figured I would hang them below. Since my xbox controller has paddles underneath and because I didn’t really like any of the other designs out there, I designed my own. This design has rest ledges for the edges of the controller so it makes it harder for the controller to slide off. The cables for the controller also doesn’t get in the way of the headphone so I can grab one or the other without knocking the other down.

The .stl file represents one half of the total assembly. I used Cura to mirror the part and print both.

The parts are held together with three 1/8th inch diameter by 0.5″ long wood dowels that are tightly fit into the holes. You could also use adhesive such as epoxy but I found it wasn’t necessary.

The assembly is mounted under my desk using some wood screws. I used a drill and impact drive to pre-drill and drive in wood screws.
