QUICK-CLIP : BIC EZ Reach Lighter Holster

QUICK-CLIP : BIC EZ Reach Lighter Holster 3d model

NOTE: This is an add-on to the pre-existing “QUICK-CLIP : Base Starter Kit
Post-Processing Difficulty: Medium
Tools Needed: Needle Files or Fingernail Files, Side Cutter, Deburring Tool, etc.

Introduction & Instructions:
QuickClip is a versatile mounting system that I designed for backpack and MOLLE webbing. This is a tourniquet holster module that I designed to go with the base starter set (found under my profile). This case is designed to accommodate the storage of a BIC EZ Reach Lighter (It MAY fit a standard BIC Lighter, but I have not tested it yet – I wanted more distance between the plastic and the flame, so I used the EZ Reach version). To use the lighter, the entire module may be removed, or the lighter may be removed from the module. Optionally, you may also use a small amount of superglue inside to permanently secure the lighter to the module. Note: The plastic sticker/decal needs to be removed from the lighter first before inserting it into the module. When complete, this module is attached to and removed from the mounting system in the same way as the other module clips. The base buckle (black) files are available in the base starter set.

I printed this with 0.16mm layer lines with PLA with organic/tree supports This design must be printed on a side position. The clip interface on the back will need minor post-processing with a needle file or sandpaper to remove leftover support material and to allow the clip and buckle to interlock smoothly.

Post-Processing:
There will be some support structures to remove. The supports from the clip will need to be removed with a side cutters and refined using minor filing or sanding to make sure they attach to the buckles smoothly. The edges of the ‘window’ may be rough from leftover supports and can be refined using sandpaper or with a deburring tool.
